Public Comments None III. Announcements /Information Items Calote thanked committee members for attending todays meeting. She provided an overview of the work that has been accomplished this past year for the Accreditation Team visit, which will be on campus tomorrow and said that the Accreditation Team will be addressing Recommendation 8 for 51AVƵ. She and K. Scott reviewed with committee members how the planning process works and how it connects with the District and our college institutional effectiveness. The committee reviewed the Strategic Plan that was approved earlier this semester. The committee was also provided with copies of the Core Indicators (approved last semester by CPC) and other planning documents, including the Integrated Planning Manual and the Board goals. The preliminary list of program review strengths and areas for improvement based on this years program review process was also distributed. Sezzi noted that the handouts show the work that the CPC has accomplished over the past nine months. Calote explained that a new district planning manual was created. It contains our colleges Institutional Effectiveness measures. She said that Callahan is very familiar with this section and inquiries can be made to him. K. Scott passed out Recommendation 8 and said that the Team may ask us about Recommendation 3, which pertains to the program reviews. She reviewed the campus reorganization that took place over the past two years. K. Scott shared that the three program discontinuance presentations from the program review process this year and were resolved with the affected departments. The Medical Assisting Program will be revised. The Bio-Tech proficiency award will be discontinued but the classes will continue to be offered and cross listed. Art will discontinue Commercial Art but will keep Fine Art. Sezzi shared that International Students will be in a 3-year fadeout program. Lugo further clarified that we will not be accepting any new students after Spring 2013. Sezzi handed out the instructional sheet that was given to the facilitators for program review meetings. He asked for it to be reviewed for any possible improvements. K. Scott again pointed out that CPC documents are all posted on the website and that anything the Team would be asking about probably be on there. She told the committee that she would provide links following todays meeting to the documents that were distributed. She thanked the committee members for their attendance today. VI. Action items None VII. Other Schrader and the CPC committee thanked K. Scott and Sezzi for all the good work they have done for the Accreditation this year. Keebler stated that he had completed the first draft of the consolidated initiatives worksheet. Approximately $7 million in new requests were put forward. The college may be able to fund a $1 million towards the requests. There was some discussion on this. In some cases, additional funds -- BSI funds, Title V Grant and Perkins will provide the college additional monies to fund the initiatives. VIII.
