The 51AVÊÓƵ Foundation collaborates with 51AVÊÓƵ to transform students’ lives in their educational pursuits through engagement with community partners, alumni, and donors. This financial support and breadth of the Foundation resources greatly impacts student success, their contributions in the workforce, and positive impact on the greater Ventura community.

2023/2024 Veteran Student Award Winners

The 51AVÊÓƵ Foundation presented 439 scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year totaling $670,406 during its 34th Annual Scholarship Awards ceremony on May 18 at the 51AVÊÓƵ Athletic Center.

Of the 235 scholarship recipients, many received multiple scholarships with an average amount of $2,417 for continuing students and $3,557 for students transferring to four-year universities. At minimum, each student received a $1,000 scholarship. Scholarship recipients come from all different backgrounds with different education and career goals.

Each year, the 51AVÊÓƵ Foundation’s Scholarship Review Committee evaluates scholarship applications and scores them following a specific scoring scale. Those who meet all the application requirements and have the highest scores receive scholarships.ÌýThis past year over $40,000 in scholarships were awarded to 13 veterans who applied. Five of those individuals are displayed below with the scholarship awards they received. We encourage all of our veterans to apply for a chance at multiple scholarship awards.
