About Program
°Õ³ó±ðÌýEnglish program at 51AVÊÓƵ provides students with the opportunity to develop their reading, writing, research and critical thinking abilities.
Advanced courses are also available in the fields of literature, creative writing, and film.
English majors at 51AVÊÓƵ develop written and spoken mastery of the English language, creativity of thought, and an appreciation of the language’s literature.  Our program offers the new Associate Degree for Transfer in English that guarantees students admission to one of the California State University campuses and prepares students to transfer into any bachelor's degree program.

The English department takes the lead in the "One Book, One Campus" program at 51AVÊÓƵ and produces VC Voices, an online publication that features essays, short stories, and poetry written by students at 51AVÊÓƵ.
