Undocumented Week Message from the President
51AVÊÓƵ has long been a beacon of hope and opportunity for students from every background, and our undocumented students are no exception. These students come to us driven by a vision for a brighter future, often navigating incredible obstacles along the way. For some, the moment they realize their undocumented status is when they begin their journey to college—a moment that can bring uncertainty, fear, and a sense of limitation. These are students who have grown up in our communities, attended our schools, and contributed to our shared experiences. For them, discovering this reality can be deeply challenging.
I invite the entire 51AVÊÓƵ community to stand shoulder to shoulder with our undocumented students. Let us reaffirm our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every student, regardless of status, has the opportunity and resources to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential.
As President of 51AVÊÓƵ, I am honored to lead a community that celebrates diversity, embraces inclusivity, and works tirelessly to ensure equity for all. I encourage each of you to join us in marking Undocumented Student Action Week from October 14-18. Together, we can create a campus environment that not only welcomes, but actively empowers, every student who walks through our doors.
