Office Hours
Friday 8:30 – 12:00. No medical provider available to respond to emergencies
- Call: 805-289-6346
- Medical Services: minor injuries and illnesses, wound care, sick visits, over-the-counter medications, pregnancy tests, STI testing, contraception, Narcan, Fentanyl and Xylazine test strips, health education. Vaccines, program health physicals, employee physicals and TB screening.
- Mental Health Services: personal counseling, quiet and decompression space, crisis intervention.
What to do in the case of a student injury
Minor Injury:
Regular Business Hours: M – Thurs, 9:00 - 4:00. Friday No Medical Provider.
- Call the SHC before sending student to ensure providers are available to care for student. Request assistance with care and/or transportation if needed.
- After Hours (Evenings and Friday): If assistance is needed, non-urgent, attempt to provide first-aid and have student got to urgent care or call campus police for assistance. If urgent, call 911. Be ready to provide the location (building and room number).

Urgent Illness or Injury:

Next Steps
Staff who witnessed and/or rendered aid to student:
- Complete “Report of Personal (Non-Employee) Accident” form
- Deliver report to Student Health within 24 hours!
- The student needs to contact the SHC to file a claim ASAP! The student will not be able to file claim after 90 days from incident.
- An insurance claim form must be filed by the Student Health Center for the student to receive coverage.
- There is a deductible of $50.00 for campus related injuries. The deductible for injuries sustained during a college sponsored athletic game is $100.
- An injury resulting from a chronic condition (diabetes, epilepsy, etc.) is not covered by the college accident insurance plan but still needs to be reported to the Student Health Center.
